Social media = Communism ?

Read a blog recently which says draws a parralel between what social media stands for - its obvious - sharing .
funnily even communism stands for it but the difference is the , communism forces it top down whereas web 2.0 does it bottom up.
And ironically china is the first one to block all social sites before the tinammen square celebrations.
